A Visit to SOS Communication iHub

Pauline (SOS staff) explained the purpose of the iHub to the LCMC team.
The two teams established a bond of friendship.

In an era where the world is interconnected through the power of communication, innovation hubs have emerged as epicenters of creativity and progress. On a recent visit to an SOS communication iHub in Buruburu, LCMC team had the privilege of immersing in the cutting-edge technologies, groundbreaking ideas, and vibrant atmosphere that define these hubs. The visit was an engaging and inspiring one. We met Pauline, the young lady in charge of SOS iHubs – who became our tour guide. We were stunned by the creativity around; small rooms segmented and equipped for different purposes and wall paintings that captured the eye.

The iHub is open for all ages, including pre-primary kids who need space for their online assignments. They are provided with smart tablets which have child-friendly settings.

The purpose of the iHub, we were told, was to bring the community together, offer them services at relatively affordable charges and open opportunities for the tech-gifted youngsters to explore and grow their talents. “All they need is a creative environment and someone who can start them off, then step aside and watch them fly!”  said Pauline. LCMC was searching for an opportunity for collaborative Synergy. When both groups discussed projects and programs, the discussion reinforced the idea that the future of communication is not a solitary endeavor but a collective one. As such, there seemed to be much opportunities for collaboration which brought a sense of excitement in both parties. In the end, our visit to the communication iHub was more than just a tour; it was a journey into searching for “what more” can LCMC do with our communication strategy of impacting the world?
