LOYOLA CENTRE FOR MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS

LCMC is credited for producing two major professional broadcast shows namely The Rally and The Chase. The cast was a team of LCMC desert sailors and renowned Kenyan talents. The shows were broadcast on mainstream media and are used by many Civil Society Organizations ( CSO’S) for civic education.

For instance, The Rally series produced in 2013 remains relevant during the electioneering periods in Kenya. Besides, LCMC has also produced short docu-dramas such as Bomani that are used by CSO’S in peace-building programs.

LCMC has further produced audio-visuals that are used in schools in Kenya and Tanzania to promote social justice. In using the audio-visuals, students are encouraged to actively watch, note areas of discussion and develop their own versions of what they think is right. The students are therefore active consumers and co-creators of content.

A similar approach has successfully been used in Northern Kenya – Samburu, and Isiolo in promoting social justice for children and young people.

With more than ten years of creating audio-visual content, LCMC has experience in working with children to ensure quality and competitive content and guarantees the safety and protection of children at all times and in all its spaces.
